Ca’ Besina embodies Casali’s bold vision: it was the first Classic Method in Emilia-Romagna. A project born at the end of the seventies, a time when the idea of producing a sparkling wine of such value in the territory seemed an impossible challenge.
The heart of this sparkling wine is the pure native Spergola grape variety, whose vocation finds its highest expression through refermentation in the bottle and a long aging of at least four years on the lees. The result is a bubble of rare elegance and territorial identity.
But the history of Ca’ Besina has its roots even further back: the name is inspired by a slab found during the construction of the winery, dated between 50 BC and 50 AD and engraved with “Ca’ Bezina”, the name of an ancient and important patrician family. A deep bond between the land and time. Today the Ca’ Besina line has expanded to include the Brut Millesimato and the refined Pas Dosè

WINEMAKING
Soft pressing of carefully selected hand-picked grapes followed by temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Refermentation occurs in bottle, where the wine ages on the lees for at least 48 months.
COLOR
Bright golden yellow; fine and persistent perlage.
BOUQUET
Fragrant nose, delicately floral with hints of hawthorn, tropical fruit and dried herbs; freshly baked bread and pastries prevailing aromas are the result of the long aging.
TASTE
Vibrant and crispy, mineral and pleasantly fresh; complex, round, with smooth and silky bubbles, ripe fruit and almond long finish.
